URGENT ATTENTION - SENIOR PLAYING TOPS

Tuggeranong Vikings Baseball New Senior Playing Tops for 2015/16 Season

For those players who have not received an email. We have decided to purchase new playing tops for our seniors this Season (2015/16) with the hope to purchase new ones for our juniors in the 2016/17 season. Due to the costs involved we are not in a financial position to replace all of the playing tops in one season.

We would like to give you (senior and/or juniors playing seniors only) the opportunity to purchase your playing top outright with the hope of still retaining your number, if you have one. The cost will be $50.00 per top however if you purchased your top within the last two seasons we are happy to do a swap.

If you wish to purchase your playing top, could you please email Kylie at seidel2818@gmail.com your size and playing number by 10 August 2015.

After this time, players who currently own their top will then forfeit the right to their current playing number; we will then be unable to guarantee the playing tops that we order will be available in your size with your current playing number.

Interested in becoming a Host Family -

As a club we have decided we may need to have an import for the 2015/16 season. For this to be possible we need to have a host family or families willing to open up their home.

The duration of their stay would be from approx. September 2015 through to March 2016, we know this is a lot to ask of just one family so we are open to the idea of splitting this between 2-3 families with a minimum of 8 weeks in one home, as not to disrupt the player to much.

During this time host families are asked to provide a bedroom with a bed and easy access to a bathroom facilities, access to your home with their own keys and to provide meals as required. Beyond that we only ask that you provide a welcoming environment and simply make them feel like they are at home. Of course if this is something you are interested in there would be finer details to be agreed upon between the player and host family.

The benefits for you and your family are many, if you have a son or daughter who plays baseball the mentor-ship will be invaluable. These imports have played competitive baseball for most of their life and have the skills and knowledge that I am sure can only benefit your family and also a bond that will last many years to come.

Total prize pool - $1500.

1st prize - $750

2nd prize - $500

3rd prize - $250

Paid to the winning affiliated clubs not to the individual participants.

No previous experience needed, all skill levels most welcome. All equipment is provided on the day, all you need to bring is a winning attitude and appropriate footwear.

We will pay the team entry fee and you will receive a food and beverage voucher and a lucky door entry from Vikings.

I would like to announce at our AGM held on Friday May the 22^nd a new committee for the upcoming season was formed; although the key positions were filled, we still need a fundraising co-ordinator and more committee members to help in this area, any amount of time you can give would be valued and appreciated..

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the coaches and scores from last season who have agreed to step up again for this coming season. Your time and expertise is invaluable and without you, we simply wouldn't achieve the on field success we do.

Strong Girls, Strong World! Canberra Event 1st June!

Julie Cross, renowned national and international speaker, teams up with 12 year old soccer player Claire Falls and an amazing panel of prominent female leaders to help empower up our girls and young women.

Issues such as depression, anxiety, bullying, eating disorders, peer group pressure, body image concerns, domestic violence against women are becoming more and more evident within our society and particularly for young girls.

It is time to empower up!
