Four ACTAS Players Have Been Invited For the 15U World Cup Selection Camp

The International Baseball Federation has released that for the first time Australia has received direct qualification to the 15U World Cup.

ACT is pleased to announce that four ACTAS players have been named to the Australian 15U squad and will be going into selection camp.

Mark Zhang (Ainslie), Julian Paramonov (Indians), Jordan Coffey (Vikings), Tim Dutton (Vikings) will have their chance to be selected on to the Australian U15's team that travels to the World Cup in La Paz, Mexico later this year.

Baseball Australia has selected a 40-man squad, identified and nominated by State high performance managers, State coaches, and the national coaching staff. The selection camp will take place at Palm Meadows on the Gold Coast over the weekend of June 14 and 15. The 20-man roster will be announced the week following the selection camp.

Zhang and Coffey travel to Perth in the upcoming weekend to play exhibition games in preparation for the selection camp.

The 15U World Cup is competitive and Australia is currently ranked 9th in the world and has been placed in Group C for the tournament; The team will be up against Cuba (3) and Venezuela (5), as well as Argentina, Lithuania and Hong Kong in pool play.
